Barack Obama hits campaign trail for Hillary Clinton in Philadelphia

WASHINGTON: President Barack Obama is hitting the campaign trail to rally support for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania, a state that has served as a firewall for her party in the past six general elections but is now viewed as competitive.

Obama is scheduled to appear Tuesday without the candidate herself.

Clinton was scheduled to make a fundraising swing to California, but will take a couple of days off from the campaign trail after being diagnosed with pneumonia.

Obama will seek to generate momentum for Clinton in a race that has become uncomfortably close for many Democratic supporters.

Obama will also attend a fundraiser for the   Democratic National Committee in Philadelphia and then fly to New York City for a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser.

Stadiums to house Qatar residents in the event of a national emergency.

Certain schools, offices, hotel-apartments and stadiums across the country will act as emergency shelters if and when disaster strikes in Qatar, officials have said.
These venues will serve as temporary accommodation and be stocked with survival kits, said Brig. Hamad Othman Al Duhaimi, director of operations at the General Directorate of Civil Defense.
He added that the plans are part of a future-proofing program that readies Qatar as climate change makes the world more prone to natural disasters.
